So, you’ve probably all forgotten about me by now, it’s been ages since I last wrote on here, but I promise I have a good excuse! I had to get some oral surgery at the beginning of February, and it ended up being a lot more complex than they first expected. For that reason, I have spent 2 weeks either in bed or curled up on the sofa watching Grey’s Anatomy.
However, in one of my co-codomol fuelled good spells I did take the opportunity to set up my bullet journal for the month of March, and so I’m going to share that planning with you today. I have some new spreads to try out this month, so hopefully I won’t be repeating myself for once!
As always, we start off with my title page. This month I went with a tulip and bees theme cause I’m getting really excited for this whole spring thing… plus, it’s Easter this month and that screams floral in my mind.
This is the one spread of mine that never ever changes, so I don’t have much to report here. The only thing that did change this month is that I added in a habit tracker on the right-hand side. I haven’t had much success with habit trackers in the past, but I’m gonna try it out again this month and hope for a better result!
Line A Day/ Assignment Tracker
The only other spread that I’m keeping this month is my Line A Day spread which is sort of a combination of a gratitude log and a journalling space, it’s simple, but it’s been working pretty well.
The second spread is my Assignment Tracker, obviously I won’t be doing this every month, but since my assignments are all due in early April this seemed like a good time to get it set up. I used a similar spread for my assignments last semester and it was a great tool… if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
I’m not really sure what changed this month, I’ve known about mood mandalas for a good while, but they never really appealed to me until this month watching Kara’s One Month in my Bullet Journal.
This month I chose to copy her spread exactly to test it out, but I may end up tweaking the moods or colours as the experiment progresses, this month is just a trial run.
I made this mood mandala template on my computer, I’m considering making it available as a printable in my Etsy shop, but I want to make sure it works for me this month before I put it up for sale! If you’d be interested in it, let me know and I’ll but it up sooner!
And that’s it, I feel like this month was a bit more creative than a lot of my other monthly set-ups, so we’ll see how well I can actually keep up with it.
I think with being sick I’ve been missing my planning time, so I’m making up for it now! Let me know what you guys think in the comments, what’s your theme for March? Are you taking advantage of the change in season?
