Hi guys, it’s been a while since I did one of these posts and now that Autumn has hit in full force I’m excited to share some of my cold weather favourites with you all.
For obvious reasons, these items are a little different than what I’ve shared in the past because (most of them) are geared towards being back at uni , but hopefully it inspires you to embrace the chill and appreciate the autumn vibes whether you’re back in classes or not.
Pumpkin and Ginger Candle
I picked this up in TK Maxx last weekend and now I really wish I’d bought all of them! This scent is to die for, it’s the perfect mix of spicy and sweet – amazing for late night uni sessions and course reading.
I’m always a little bit dubious of buying a candle that isn’t a Yankee Candle, I just feel like the smell isn’t as strong in any other candle. However, this is definitely an exception. I’m not gonna lie, it doesn’t fragrance my entire house like my Yankee Candles do, but it does give a really nice scent in my office which is really all I need it to do – it turns my office into a sort of autumn haven.
Not to mention that the packaging of this candle is too cute – it’s rose gold and grey… if I were a candle, this would be me.
Wellness Rose Gold Water Bottle
I’ve only just realised that this is also from TK Maxx – which is weird, because I’ve actually only shopped there once in the past 4 years, I bought 3 items and 2 of them have made it into this favourites.
I got this bottle for 2 reason:
- It looks like a Swell bottle and I’ve been coveting one of those for ages.
- It’s stainless steel.
“Why does it matter that it’s stainless steel?” I hear you ask. Well, I’ll tell you, I work in a daycare and the kids love to be helpful and bring my water to me or carry it around for a while, meaning my bottle gets dropped a lot. My old plastic one (which I still love) was starting to look really battered and bruised because it had been dropped down stairs, outside, in the bathroom, just everywhere the kids could possibly take it.
This stainless steel one just seemed a little bit sturdier and it’ll keep my water cool all day, a very good purchase if I do say so myself.
If I have one complaint, it’s that it’s nearly impossible to open, I have to use my tweezers to save my nails. However, the colours are gorgeous and the pigmentation is exactly what you’d expect from an Urban Decay palette, so I let the tricky fastening go.
This thing is game-changing. I found this over on Jenny Mustard’s YouTube channel, and I fell head over heels in love with it. It’s gorgeous and ingenious.
Not only is the design so chic and so minimalist, but it means when I brew a cup of herbal tea I don’t have to cart around a cup, a spoon and a saucer for the tea to infuse – the cup does it all itself!
If you’re big into herbal teas/loose leaf teas, I’d definitely check this out, it’s game-changing
Again, YouTube made me buy it, but I’m very thankful to YouTube. I saw this coat in an ASOS haul by Freddy My Love (who is adorable, check her out if you haven’t already). Although she had the coat in camel, I went for the grey and it’s just perfect. It allows me to stay warm as I walk to and from uni, but also to look adorable.

It was a little more expensive than the type of coats I’d usually buy, but it’s timeless and gorgeous and since I’ll pretty much live in it until February, it’s well worth the money in my eyes.
So there you have it, there are loads of other things I could put in this post, but I’ll leave them for another day.
Make sure you tell me about some of the things that have made you smile in the past few weeks/months, I’d love to chat about them in the comments below. See you there!
