Okay, so I’m going to level with you, October was a pretty crappy month.
About a week in, I got a really bad dose of the flu (which was really fun with my asthma) and led to me spending nearly 2 weeks in bed, getting behind on all my uni work, getting into some serious debt because I couldn’t go to work and otherwise just totally throwing my routines out of whack. Not to mention the effect it had on my diet and exercise routines.
As you can imagine, I feel pretty rubbish about this past month and as I was trying to figure out how best to talk you through it I realised there is absolutely nothing to sum up! So, instead, I’m going to talk about November and how I’m hoping/planning to get back on track.
On the whole, November is going to be a pretty busy month for me. All my assignments are due in at the beginning of December so there’ll be a lot of legwork there, plus I have Blogmas to prepare for and a hundred and one other commitments so I’m pretty much going to be run off my feet. Therefore, really what I’m trying to do with this plan is to mould my goals in a way that they free up time and simplify my days so that I have more productive time to get my shit done without any stress-induced tears.
Let’s just get into it, shall we…
I think, for now, I’m going to sacrifice the 6:30 start and aim for a consistent 6:45. For the sake of 15 minutes, it doesn’t really seem worth it, seeing as I still have loads of time to get ready for work even if I wake at 6:45. My plan currently is to be able to wake up by 7:00 6 days a week, to get my body into a really good habit, and then move the wake up time back a little over time.
This first week of November is actually reading week at school, so I’m going to try and use this time to get into a better habit again and stick with it.
I’m trying to combine these two areas this month in an effort to simplify my day and to free up time for other things.
My goal is to go for a walk 3 times a week for around half an hour or so. While I’m walking, I’m going to listen to a sermon or podcast, and use the time as a way of taking care of both my physical and spiritual health.
I’m also going to try and drink at least a litre of water during this walk so that I’m hydrating more consistently as well.
Basically, I’m combining everything into one big ball and trying to be a little more realistic in my expectations of myself.
Really, these are the only areas I’m focusing on this month.
I do plan to have a pretty budget month, but I’m going to do a full post on my finances in January time so I’m not going to get into too much detail at this stage (I wouldn’t want to spoil anything).
I really hope you guys had a more productive month that I did, even if your month was sucky like mine, let’s try to make November better!
Make sure to let me know about your November goals in the comments down below, I love hearing from you all, it helps me stay accountable if I know you guys are with me! See you in the comments!
