Good evening everyone, I can’t believe today is the last day of BEDA! If I’m being completely honest, this was the first series I’ve done on this blog that I found really difficult to maintain, so although I’m sad that it’s ending, I’m looking forward to a wee bit of a break this coming week.
Way back at the start of this series, I uploaded my first Things That Made Me Smile post (essentially my version of a monthly favourites post).
Today, I’m back with the next installment – so sit tight, and enjoy!
1. My pastel tombows.
If you’ve seen my Bullet Journal supplies post, you’ll know how much I love these. They’ve improved by Bullet Journaling game immensely. Not only do they make my quote pages look 100 times more professional, but they’re also really nice for headers and bits. I’ll have to do a bit more research and invest in a wider range of colours soon.
I’m going to level with you, I used to wear heels at least twice a week, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve been craving a more practical option. However, these shoes are the best thing ever. Not only are they a beautiful blush pink/nude, but they have a pointed toe (a toe that I’m finding more and more flattering lately) and they don’t slide on and off my heel as I walk. Even though the heel is pretty high, I barely feel it, I can’t wait to get them properly broken in and paint the town red!
3. My water bottle.
I don’t know much about the whole BPA thing, but this bottle doesn’t have it so I take that’s a good thing. I think my favourite thing about this bottle is the spout. It’s really wide, so I can actually gulp water, which I think helps me drink more water over a shorter period of time.
Since I was off online shopping for lent, this was my first online purchase in over 40 days. I’ve been wanting one of these lamps for months now and I’m so excited to finally have one in my life. Currently, it’s in my office and I’ve been using it in the morning and evening when I’m waking up or winding down for the evening. The light is really soft and the effect makes me feel very relaxed – definitely a good buy.
I bought this for my formal, to avoid my makeup running off my face over the course of the evening. Let’s just say I’ve used it every day since. Not only does it mean my makeup stays on, but it also means I use a lot less setting powder (making my makeup look more natural) and it’s very refreshing first thing in the morning. I’m never going back.
So there you go guys, I really hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know down below anything that’s made you smile this month. I think one of the dangerous things about minimalism is a lack of appreciation for the positive effect the right things can have on a person, so I’ve been loving evaluating my possessions through these posts.
Thanks for sticking with me this month guys, I’ll see you all in May!
