50 Simple Self Care Ideas

We’re now well into BEDA, and I’ve shared with you a few different tips and tricks that I have to help me practice self-care and treat myself right.

However, if you’re new to this whole thing, or just need a little more inspiration, look no further. Today, I’m going to share with you all 50 ideas you can easily implement into your day to bump up your self-care game and to generally feel better!

Hopefully, there’s at least one on here that you can get on board with!

Without wasting too much of your precious time, let’s get going:

  1. Write down 3 things you’re grateful for
  2. Get up 15 minutes before you usually set your alarm and have some ‘me time’
  3. Eat breakfast at the table every morning
  4. Try to read for 15 minutes before bed
  5. Read something light and fun
  6. Light some candles when you get home from work
  7. Open your bedroom window when you wake up
  8. Make your bed first thing in the morning
  9. Cook your own meals from scratch (or as close as you can get)
  10. Go for a walk in nature
  11. Take 15 minutes a day to tidy and clean your home
  12. Have a pamper evening
  13. Drink a large bottle of water
  14. Send a message to an old friend you’ve have seen in a while
  15. Put on an upbeat playlist and have a little bit of a dance/sing-along
  16. Watch a guilty pleasure movie (one that doesn’t require you to think too much)
  17. Sit outside (you can work outside, eat outside, read outside, or even just take a nap)
  18. Take a bath with a LUSH bubble bar of your choice
  19. Watch the sunset/sunrise
  20. Scroll through Pinterest and find some new quotes and inspiration
  21. Declutter one item from your home every day for 30 days
  22. Spend some time each day on a hobby (blogging, singing, dancing, sport, whatever!)
  23. Stretch
  24. Complete a 7-minute workout
  25. Don’t touch your phone until after breakfast
  26. Take a power nap
  27. Have a cup of tea (herbal or otherwise)
  28. Bake something delicious
  29. Start a bullet journal
  30. Go for a drive – you don’t need a destination
  31. Put your phone into airplane mode after dinner
  32. Make sure all of your meals contain at least 1 vegetable!
  33. Create or update your vision board
  34. Revaluate your New Year’s Resolutions
  35. Do your laundry (all of it, including putting it away again)
  36. Repaint your nails
  37. Make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep
  38. Reread one of your favourite books
  39. Pet your dog/cat/bunny/snake
  40. Splurge a little every now and then
  41. Clear out your social media feeds
  42. Get to inbox zero
  43. Smile at yourself in the mirror
  44. Get a hug from someone you love
  45. Have a long, hot, cleansing shower
  46. Spritz your favourite perfume
  47. Buy yourself some fresh flowers
  48. Have dinner with your family
  49. Sleep in
  50. Plan a trip somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit
