With only 28 days, February always seems to be too short a month to get anything done. For me, this February was even more hectic than normal. I went back to uni at the end of January and have had jam-packed days ever since – it’s starting to wear on me a little.
However, I still wanted to report back my goal progress this month – I’m pretty proud of how much I achieved, despite being so busy, so let’s get right into it!
Note: I’m not going to talk about all the areas I set up in my 2017 Theme, because some of them simply haven’t improved, the areas below are only the ones I focussed on this month. Okay, seriously, let’s get into it!
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, my goal for 2017 was to reach 100 followers here on Miss Abigail – in January I reached that goal and now we’ve smashed the 200 mark this month. Thanks so much to everyone who follows, likes and comments – I love each and every one of you!

Also this month I did another blogging series (possibly my favourite one yet). The response from you all was so wonderfully positive, I’ll definitely try to do more series like this in the future!
Finally this month, I bit the bullet and bought my very own domain! You can still find me at missabigailsite.wordpress.com, but now I also own missabigail.blog (much simpler and much nicer to say).
In honour of my new address, I also revamped by header, fonts and general aesthetic of the blog. Most things have stayed the same, I just shuffled things around a bit!
I didn’t really have the chance to trial my new morning and evening routines again this month, but I did get a few more weekly routines sorted out.
My cleaning routine is probably my biggest achievement of the month (stay tuned for a full post on this next month). It’s not perfect, in fact it’s far from it, but I’ve been spending a lot less time and stress fixating on cleaning since I started using it!
After the stress of going back to uni, I also set up a much needed pamper routine. Something simple that I could do a few times a week to recharge and feel good. Right now, I’m doing it on Tuesday’s and Friday’s and it’s amazing! Again, I’ll do a full post on it at some stage!
This one is a work in progress, but progress has been made. I got a job! I think I mentioned in January that I had applied to work in a daycare, at last, I started last week.
My goal for March is to make some progress in escaping the clutches of the student overdraft! Since I’ve been doing quite a bit of travelling over the past few months when my boyfriend was here, my bank balance is hurting, but I’ve set up a budget to try and get back on track.
Almost all the information I’ve consumed this month has been through following BBC news on Facebook. I’m going to have to try and balance out my feed with a few different sites. Unfortunately, it’s been such a busy month that I haven’t made a whole lot of progress on the movie front, but I should be able to make it up next month.
While shopping for products to use in my new pamper routine, I was able to buy all ethical goods (which was great). I’m still far from finished, but I have been replacing my products with ethical options when they run out.
I also bought a few second-hand pieces off Vinted this month, I’ve been doing quite well at staying away from the high street.
If I’m being honest, I want to ignore talking about this one this month. It’s been a bad month. I have been doing a lot of walking (the joys of commuting) but my eating has been terrible. At the beginning of this month, I was suffering from dizzy spells, so I’ve been taking a supplement which seems to be helping – but some dietary changes are definitely in order.
I read a total of 5 books this month (none of which were from my original February TBR) which keeps me on track in terms of my Goodreads challenge.
My reading was unintentionally diverse this month, most of it was stuff I had to read for my uni courses, but none of them were for a book club.
I’m choosing to look at this as a win despite not meeting one of the challenges – it could have been worse.
I had a really exciting month, with lots of travelling. One of my trips was to London, so I can tick that off the old bucket list. I’ve also come up with a few plans for the summer for a few other trips around Europe. We’re making progress!
I really want to focus on spiritual development in March, I’m hoping I’ll be able to kill 2 birds with one stone by incorporating it into my morning and evening routines. I also really need to get on top of my health, I want to be eating better and feeling better soon!
