There’s nothing I love more than buying books, but since I try to only buy books I love, it doesn’t happen very often. Yet last week, in a moment of weakness, I found myself scrolling through the pages on the Book Depository website and soon my cart was full. I was able to justify it to myself, with my giveaway coming up, I thought this would be a source of bookish inspiration for the lucky winner! (At least, that’s what I’m telling myself).
To avoid further rambling, let’s take a look at the books!

Red Queen and Glass Sword
– Victoria Aveyard
As a lot of you will know, I love this series – I ordered this before King’s Cage came out, but I plan on waiting until I’ve read it on my eReader before investing in a physical copy.
Realistically, even if I don’t love the final installment, these books are gorgeous so it would be nice to complete the collection.
Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall
I reviewed this book in January and completely fell in love. I’ve been telling people about it since then and have had multiple requests to borrow it. Now that I have it in a physical form, I can finally share the love.
Milk and Honey – Rupi Kaur
This was a total impulse purchase. I remember hearing a lot about this book a while back, and it was cheap – even though that’s not really a very good justification, it’s now happily living on my bookshelf.
Tales of the Peculiar – Ransom Riggs
I haven’t quite gotten around to Library of Souls, the last book in the Miss Peregrine
series, yet, but I was so excited to see this!
I hadn’t heard anything about this, I didn’t even know it existed – but I’m so glad it does, I can’t wait to dig in once I read Library of Souls.
Salt to the Sea – Ruta Sepetys
This is another book that I’ve been raving about since I read it in 2016. I remember telling my mum and my aunt about it at the time and they were really interested. It’s such a wonderful read, it will be lent out soon enough!
So there we go! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this haul, I promise not to do them too often – but it’s a nice change every once in a while. What was the last book you bought?
Now you’ve made me jealous! I haven’t bought a book in a long time, now I need some! Happy reading!
